Lincoln City Travel Guide
Welcome to Lincoln City!
Known as the kite capital of the world, Lincoln City receives steady winds, making it a favorite destination for wind surfers. Located in Oregon's coastal region between Devils Lake and 7 mi (11 km) of sandy beaches, this resort town is supported by its tourism-related activities. A public beach welcomes those who wish to engage in beach combing, tide pooling during low tides, beach hiking, surfing, boating, crabbing and fishing. Further fishing opportunities are provided at Devils Lake State Recreation Site, home to over nine species of freshwater fish. For water sports enthusiasts, the lake is also ideal for windsurfing, water skiing, knee-boarding and jet skiing. During the winter, one of the greatest thrills in Lincoln City is watching coastal storms. Marvel at the raging seas and howling winds from a cozy oceanfront cafe. Be sure to visit Lincoln City's many art galleries and boutiques, as well as the Chinook Winds Casino.
